Designed by John Reich, the Classic Head Large Cent was introduced in 1808 to replace the Draped Bust Large Cent.
The obverse is deemed to feature a more youthful representation of Lady Liberty, complete with her inscribed headband. Meanwhile the reverse still features the denomination, framed by a laurel wreath.
Please note that the scratch on the reverse is on the slab, not the coin.
