Designed by Charles Barber, the obverse depicts Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap complete with laurel leaf band. Meanwhile the reverse features an eagle wings outstretched and a shield on its chest. Talons grip both an olive branch and a cluster of arrows.
The word Liberty is visible on the laurel band of the obverse.
