The 2024 Somali 1 oz Silver Elephant is the 20th annual release of this ever popular bullion coin. Prior to 2004, the series was issued by Zambia. It's part of the wider African Wildlife series which sees icons of the natural world grace the coins. The reverse of this coin always features the elephant but the scene changes with each annual release.
The obverse features the Somalian coat of arms, surrounded by pertinent information such as date & official denomination. Meanwhile the reverse features two elephants at play, framed by weight, metal, purity and series.
