The Valkyries series features Germanic goddesses, daughters of Odin, who according to Germanic mythology supported the bravest warriors who fell in battle.
Ostara is associated with spring and new life. On the obverse Ostara is depicted with both a hare and a deer, symbols of fertility. The reverse features not only Germania Mint's beautiful coat of arms with the bicephalous eagle, but also a stag. Pertinent information such as the year, weight, purity and denomination are also included in this shield like design.
Between the spring inspired colors and the ultra high relief details, this is the ultimate celebration of Ostara.
This piece comes presented in a wooden display box, complete with certificate of authenticity confirming the issue number out of a mintage of just 999.
