This Silver & Hematite Necklace is an unusual piece with an almost gothic vibe to it, thanks to the combination of hematite and lace inspired detailing along the side. This piece is ready to wear (or gift,) including both the pendant and the chain.
At the heart of this pendant is a cat's eye shaped hematite. Hematite is very distinctive as a stone, combining the black coloring with a sheen reminiscent of coal. The pendant is framed with a leaf shaped, openwork silver edge that gives it a feminine, lace inspired look. It's very unusual.
The necklace itself measures 20 inches in length. The pendant measures 32 mm or 1 1/4 inches in height and that includes the bail. It measures 10 mm or 0.4 inches at the widest point across the center. The hematite itself measures 15 mm or 0.6 inches in length by 7 mm or 0.27 inches in width. This pendant is hallmarked sterling silver on the back and the chain is also hallmarked on the clasp. The entire piece weighs 3.3 grams.
