The Scottsdale 2021 Barbados Trident 1/5 oz Gold Coins have now arrived at Great Lakes Coin. These are the latest additions to the annual Barbados Trident program. 2021 is the fifth year of the Tridents.
The trident though often associated with Greek God Poseidon, is also the symbol of Barbados. The 1/5 oz gold legal tender coin has a limited mintage of just 5000 pieces and is minted by Scottsdale.
They ship in individually serialized Certi-Lock packaging, providing you additional peace of mind both at purchase and should you opt to sell in the future. Authenticity of Certi-Lock products can always be verified by the Scottsdale app.
While the reverse features the trident head on a "rippled" field of concentric circles, the obverse depicts the Barbados coat of arms, established in 1966. The shield shows a fig tree at it's heart with the Red Pride of Barbados Flower in either top corner. Supporting the shield is a heraldic dolphin and a pelican.
